Everyone in life has a problem with fear and Davido has been enveloped by it also.
Fear has destroyed so many dreams, many have died without accomplishing some of their dreams because of fear of what people might think or say.
There’s this proverb about fear of failure that says – “It’s better not to do anything rather than to try and eventually failing” and it looks as if Davido is following this advice.
Check the Stats – Korede Bello, Reekado Banks and Lil Kesh all have the same number of albums as Davido and these artistes started in 2015. Kizz Daniel has two successful albums so far.
Is Davido scared of dropping an album and failing?
This might be true given that Davido released an EP in 2016 that was a failure. He himself described that period as one of the worst periods in his career.
However, the last time Davido released an album was in 2012, his ‘not too successful’ – “OBO The Genesis” album.
Davido has been working on a new album since 2015 when a tracklist leaked online of an album packed with features with Trey Songz and Future. Since that time, Davido has been teasing us with facetime screenshots with Future, Chris Brown and one time tweeted he had a song with Drake.
However, Wizkid has collaborated with all these artistes. He has released two albums, AYO in 2014 and Sound From The Other Side in 2017 and is scheduling to drop the 3rd one “Made In Lagos“, this year.
But Davido has been going back and forth, promising he would release his album since 2015 till date, he hasn’t dropped an album 📷📷
