One Deji Adenuga has been declared wanted by the Ondo State police for burning the family house of his ex-girlfriend, Titi Saanumi, killing five members of the family, for calling off the relationship.
Three other members of the family who were also injured in the incident which occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, at Adetuwo street in Igbodigo, are currently receiving treatment at the Ondo Trauma Center.
Adenuga was said to be angered by the decision of his girlfriend to back out from the relationship and he decided to deal with her for dumping him after many years of their relationship.
Titi had however travelled out of town on Monday, before the suspect struck around 2:45 am on Tuesday morning and five members of the family died before help could reach them.
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Mr Femi Joseph, who confirmed the incident, said the police visited the scene of the incident.
He said the command has been making concerted efforts to apprehend the suspect and assured that he will be arrested soon.
